Hyke & Byke Eolus 800FP 0 deg
5 out of 5 stars
Like my Eolus 30 deg, this is a very good sleeping bag. At 3.2 lbs, it is still in the lightweight category, but does not pack down as small as my 30 deg. That’s probably an obvious statement.
For my review of my 30 deg Hyke & Byke sleeping bag, go here.

I purchased this sleeping back in late 2019, but did not get to use it until October of 2020. It performed so well that I realized I was using too much sleeping bag for the conditions I encountered.
I saw lows of about 34 degrees on two separate trips. I was more than comfortable. I was able to strip down to my underwear and remain very warm throughout the evening. This was partially a learning experience for me. I feel I could have used a 15 degree sleeping bag for these trips.
Also similar to my 30 deg Hyke & Byke bag, this sleeping bag lofts quickly after removing it from the stuff sack. One of my fellow hikers even commented on how quickly it lofts.
I don’t have a lot of experience with sleeping bags. Perhaps it is because of the 800 FP Goose down.
During the night I tend to rollover often, especially when out camping. A complaint about mummy bags is it can sometimes be tough to shift around. I'm a slender dude. Perhaps that's why I am able to rollover in this mummy bag fairly easily.
The anti-snag zippers work great without getting tangled up in the fabric for the most part. They are very large.
This sleeping bag has two drawstrings. You can tighten it around your shoulders, the other is to enclose your head if the temps get a bit too low.
The price is amazing. You can get this one for $220 direct from Hyke & Byke. That might sound pricey, but equivalent sleeping bags from other companies can easily run north of $275 for similar quality, from my brief research.
If you search for pricing, remember to find sleeping bags with 800 fill power, rated to 0 degrees, and also compare the weight. All of this considered, I find these Hyke & Byke sleeping bags to be the best bargain out there.
If you purchase a sleeping bag from Hyke & Byke, by linking from this post or this website, I receive a commission. Here is the link to purchase this sleeping bag.
Note. I am budget conscious in all backpacking gear purchases. My reviews are based upon multiple uses, spanning months or years.
